The web showdown

One of the most useful sides of social media has been its power to help folks discover folks, content, and ideas that they'd have otherwise missed. Born from that shared need for discovery has been a surplus of fantastic web communities. Some like Slashdot target technology, while others like Twitter are main line open platforms for sharing.

Out of all these communities though, some stand out due to their highly engaged web communities and their unique technology for finding the best of the web.

Social discovery sites Digg (Digg), StumbleUpon (StumbleUpon), and Reddit (reddit.com) are 3 of the best examples of what occurs when technology meets community. This week we are asking you, the readers, to reply to a simply question: which one of these social discovery sites is your favorite? Or maybe more in the meaning of our weekly Web Faceoff series, which one would win? While Digg might be the biggest of the 3 social media communities, StumbleUpon has had its victories and all three have extremely keen communities that can't be ignored.
