Myspace returning with hit songs for their users

The networking website is offering unlimited unrestricted access to tens of thousands of tracks and videos from today. The site, that has thirteen million regular UK users, has for some time been thought of as the place to find approaching acts. It was credited with helping break prize winning artists including Arctic Monkeys and Lily Allen.

The refurbish will see it taking on fast-growing rivals such as Spotify, the site that works like a radio station. MySpace Music users will be in a position to hear their favorite tracks for so long as they like and swap playlists.

Celebrities including Jordan, Beyonce and rapper Chipmunk and the VATICAN have put together favorite playlists to support today's launch. The service will also link to iTunes - permitting folk to buy and download songs. MySpace - owned by the Sun's parent organization Reports Company - has launched the service in the States, Australia and New Zealand. MySpace Music president Courtney Holt related: "We're thrilled to be launching MySpace Music in the United Kingdom.”It's a really cutting edge service that brings artists and fans closer than ever before." the United Kingdom launch follows deals with major music residences and Merlin, a label that represents indie acts. Writers and performers will be paid royalties thru advertising money generated on the internet site.
