
Los Angeles-based Stickam.com, an operator of a live streaming video site and associated services, has launched into the iPhone market today, announcing it has given a new API for third party integration of live streaming into iPhone apps.
Stickam recounted its iPhone SDK permits 3rd parties to integrate live streaming into any iPhone app, using Apple Quicktime's H.265 HTTP live streaming functions. The firm claimed the 1st consumer to use the functions is 211me, which is using the streaming as an element of a star app for Twilight's Peter Facinelli. Stickam announced it might charge forty five cents per gb. for the the live streaming service to developers.
